Mixed experience: Great customer service, but confusing situation with the wet belt.

I bought a 2016 Ford Fiesta from Hendy. The sales manager was very helpful and responsive, which I appreciated.

However, the situation with the timing belt (wet belt) remains unclear. Since the car is over 8 years old, we specifically asked about the belt at every stage of the purchase and were told it would be replaced if necessary. After the sale, I received automated email alerts from Hendy saying the belt is due for replacement.

I checked the paperwork, and the "Hendy Approved 90 Point Check" does not state the actual condition of the timing belt at all. I have no stamp in my service book either.

I really like the car and the experience, but for a critical part like the wet belt. I would like written confirmation that it was actually checked, not just verbal assurances.

I would recommend Hendy Car Store Portsmouth to friends and family because our sales person Florence was fantastic! She was friendly, professional and really did listen to all the requirements we wanted in our car, which was for my elderly mum who was nervous changing her car! Florence was extremely patient and caring and made my mum and I feel at ease and less daunted by the situation! We will most definitely be recommending her personally to our family and friends when they need to change their cars! She is a credit to your company! Thank you Florence!

She made the whole process extremely easy and ensured the MOT and service was completed and that the car was ready to collect when I needed it .
